IPNA rep: This is called "steering" and it is against Medicare Part D rules. You can file a complaint on the medicare.gov site (https://www.medicare.gov/claims-and-appeals/file-a-complaint/complaint.html)
Now, Caremark can choose to give you a rate of AWP-0% but they can't steer the patient.
If you need help negotiating your Third Party contracts check out Third Party Station (a new IPNA vendor)
Have an issue you'd like some details on?This will be a forum where you can ask questions about issues you are experiencing on claims, processing errors, etc. We will take each question and put it on its own post so you can review the comments and engage with fellow pharmacists.
