Improving sales with Social Media: use your social media to advertise a special or promote a new product/service.
There are many social media sites you can sign-up for to promote your products, services and specials.
Google+ (requires you to have a GMAIL account). Great for reaching professional customers and businesses in your area. Post your weekly specials, have a daily deal or even cross-promote with other businesses in your town.
Facebook. Great for reaching the younger generation and letting them know why your Independent Pharmacy is more convenient than mail order or a chain store.
Linked-In: Connect with other Independent Pharmacists to share ideas, advertise your store in a professional format.
Twitter: Great for throwing out door-busters or hourly giveaways. Twitter is a quick way to get the word out about your specials and your audience will be waiting to see what you offer, they will also share your information to their followers!
There are many more sites out there available to spread the word about what you do!

Customer Appreciation Day!
Appreciate your customers and show how much you care. Provide snack foods and beverages throughout the time of your event, provide a scratch off or mystery envelope with OTC store bucks and give a percentage off coupon or have event specials on products you need to move off of the shelf.
Don't forget to walk around and socialize giving the customers a chance to meet everyone on the team.

Thank you and birthday cards! Let your customers know how much you appreciate them by sending a thank you card for being a customer or for a script they recently moved to your store. Send a birthday card to show your appreciation, for some patients this may be the only birthday card they receive.
Handwritten is the most sincere because it show you took the extra time to write it, but there are online options as well. You can easily set it up online and a reminder will be sent to you before each special event.
There are many options out there, but we know of 123greetings.com.

Re-evaluate your location. Are you visible from the street, are you in a medical building, etc? Maybe it’s time to move!
If your lease is close to being up and you can negotiate a better contract at a new location in a busy shopping mall or other high traffic areas....why not make a move.
